Faraz Afzal is a medical doctor from the University of Oslo. He completed his medical studies in 2007 and received his doctorate in cardiology and pharmacology in 2010. He is a specialist in both internal medicine and cardiology, and has extensive experience from Diakonhjemmet Hospital as well as from two of the country's largest heart departments – Ahus and Rikshospitalet. He currently works as a cardiologist at Ahus. In his clinical practice, he receives referrals from both general practitioners and private specialists, and assesses and treats a wide range of heart conditions.
He has particular expertise in rhythm disorders, including implantation and follow-up of pacemakers and defibrillators (ICD), as well as extensive experience in the treatment and follow-up of patients with atrial fibrillation.
